MC58000/MC55000 Series

The Magellan Family of Motion Control ICs provides high performance chip-based motion control for multiple motor types. Magellan motion control ICs are available in 1, 2, 3 and 4-axis versions. These flexible and programmable devices control DC brush, brushless DC, microstepping and pulse & direction motors. They are designed for demanding applications such as medical automation, general automation and scientific instrumentation.

Two versions of the Magellan Motion Control IC are available. The multi-motor MC58000 series controls all motor types (DC brush, brushless DC, microstepping and pulse & direction) and the MC55000 Series provides pulse & direction output for stepper motors and stepper-like servo systems (for example: Advanced Motion Controls, Panasonic, Tamagawa, Yaskawa, Mitsubishi aso.).
