Highlights

The POSYS® 3104 provides support for TTL encoders with index signals and for inverted encoder signals. 8 general purpose and 24 dedicated inputs, and 12 general purpose and 16 multiple purpose outputs for home, limit switches and emergency stop and the high input and output frequency for pulse & direction / up/down counter output and encoder input signals enhance these controllers.

Compare registers offer real-time monitoring of actual status information and together with the extendable breakpoint capabilities it is possible to react automatically on almost any kind of situation. Interrupt selection (IRQ3 - IRQ12, IRQ14 - IRQ15) allows interrupt handling by the on-board PC.

The POSYS® 3104 is a low-cost PC104 motion controller offering a wide range of possibilities. The controller is dedicated to pulse & direction output which allows to control any type of motor provided the driver/amplifier is capable to accept pulse & direction signals. Many amplifiers on the market exist for this purpose (we supply versions from AMC) which can even be configured for either brushed or brushless servo motors.

The usage of one controller type throughout the system, but still keeping it open for various motor types, depending on your customer's demands, enhances this controller to be your first choice. Software written for this controller does not need to be re-written again. Time-to-market design is done once. Equip your machine with steppers or servos or combine them to any configuration you desire.

Due to its possibilities there are practically no limitations to where this controller can be used. Robotics, semi-conductor, medical and harsh industrial environments - where ever you need precise control of your motors the POSYS® 3104 is ready.

By stacking additional boards you can easily add axes for control. The host uses a handle to communicate with each board seperately. Systems with 8, 12 or more axes are easily setup. The system is only limited to the number of available addresses.

Motion Control Cards with Special PIEZO (Ceramic) Motor Functions

Motion Control Chips with special functions to compensate PIEZO Motor behaviour

Products Names:

  • POSYS® 1800-PIEZO Series
  • POSYS® 1900-PIEZO Series

Description:

The POSYS® 1800-PIEZO, POSYS® and 1900-PIEZO are motion control cards (PC-104, PCI-bus and Standalone) for servo and stepper motors and provide one to four axes of motion. The functionality of these series has been significantly improved by using a special motion control chip with enhanced PIEZO (Ceramic) control functions. It is now possible to compensate the special behaviour of PIEZO (Ceramic) motors like for example stiction.
