Highlights

The SC-NT-4M is a result of wide and intensive applications-based experience, molded into a market-leading 400 MIPS computing kernel with practically unlimited memory space. This means a sampling rate of 16 [KHz], complex control filters, sinusoidal commutation, practically unlimited macro programs size with macro execution speed of more than 100,000 clauses per second and simultaneous execution of up to 10 macro threads.

The SC-NT-4M, as with all other C&RS products, is designed for minimum command response time — Motion will start within 61µs (or better) upon receiving a begin-motion command.

The SC-NT-4M keywords and language syntax is compatible with all C&RS products and provides intuitive, easy-to-use and easy-to-remember syntax, identical for the host communication and for the macro program.

The SC-NT-4M is equipped with multi-link communication to support optimized performance, cost, size and risks. The controller is equipped with Ethernet port, CAN bus port, USB port and RS232 + RS422 ports. The RS232 can be used for one-to-one communication, setup and monitoring while the CAN/Lan are used for multidrop, distributed motion control system.

The SC-NT-4M is provided with a software package supporting system model identification (frequency response) and intensive frequency and time domain diagnostics tools, including automatic mapping of system responses and performances. The SC-AT-4M is also provided with free DCOM software, enabling easy and immediate interfacing with the customer’s application program, supporting Visual C++, Visual Basic, LabView and others.

Finally, the SC-NT-4M is provided with a new IDE (Integrated Development Environment), SC-NT-4M Shell, providing intuitive, complete and intensive monitoring, control and macro debugging features just one mouse click away.

The SC-NT-4M supports (independently configured for each axis) stepper motors with pulse and direction outputs for standard and microstepping stepper motor drivers.

The SC-NT-4M uses new SMT packages, such as the BGA and the FBGA, as well as high-density SMT connectors and other small size SMT components, for optimized size and reliability. Large FLASH and DRAM memories are used to answer the needs of any application.
